About the role

We're looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to help ensure every product we ship is reliable, secure, and ready for customers. You'll work closely with engineering to build automated testing, improve release quality, and identify issues before they reach production.

This is a hands-on role where you'll help establish scalable quality practices while enabling the team to move quickly. When software moves money, quality isn't optional.

Who you'll work with

You'll work closely with the founders and collaborate daily with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success to deliver high-quality customer experiences across the Acclaim platform.

What you'll do

• Test customer-facing features across the Acclaim platform.
• Build and maintain automated tests for critical workflows.
• Perform API, integration, end-to-end, performance, and exploratory testing.
• Partner with engineers to improve testability and automate quality checks.
• Identify, prioritize, and clearly document defects.
• Contribute to QA strategy, tooling, and testing standards.
• Help the team release new products and features with confidence.

What success looks like

Within your first year, you'll have:

• Significantly reduced customer-impacting production defects.
• Built reliable automated regression coverage across critical workflows.
• Improved release quality without slowing engineering velocity.
• Established scalable QA practices that grow with the engineering team.

What we're looking for

• Experience testing production web applications.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests.
• Experience with API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience collaborating closely with software engineers.

Nice to have

• Payments or fintech experience.
• Startup experience.
• Experience with performance testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience testing transaction-based systems.
