DevOps Engineer - Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a highly talented and hands-on Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer who can own and manage our complete DevOps ecosystem end-to-end. Our core product is a Digital Adoption Platform (DAP) delivered through browser extensions that overlay and guide end users on top of any enterprise application. With a rapidly growing base of 2 million+ active users, our systems must scale reliably, efficiently, and securely.

This role requires someone who can architect, build, optimize, and maintain complex cloud infrastructures, scale real-time data pipelines, and replicate our multi-tenant SaaS setup for on-prem enterprise deployments.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture (AWS)

· Architect, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as:

o VPC, Route53, CloudFront, S3, EKS, EC2, ELB/ALB, Lambda, RDS, Elasticache, API Gateway, Kinesis Streams, ClickHouse

· Design and maintain a multi-tenant SaaS architecture supporting millions of active users.

· Optimize and scale high-throughput pipelines for user event tracking and analytics processing.

DevOps & Automation

· Own and enhance our complete CI/CD ecosystem using GitHub Actions.

· Build automated deployment pipelines for browser extensions, microservices, backend services, and UI applications.

· Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.

· Building Docker images

Monitoring, Security & Reliability

· Set up end-to-end observability: metrics, logs, traces, and alerting.

· Ensure security best practices across infrastructure, networking, and deployments.

· Maintain high availability, auto-scaling, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.

· Lead security hardening efforts, including CVE remediation, container security, and dependency governance.

On-Prem Deployments

· Design and deliver on-premise deployments replicating our cloud SaaS architecture.

· Work closely with enterprise customers to customize on-prem setups as needed.

· Build automated scripts/tools for installation, upgrade, and maintenance.

Collaboration & Leadership

· Work with Engineering, QA, and Product teams to ensure smooth and reliable releases.

· Mentor junior DevOps engineers and guide the engineering team on cloud and deployment best practices.

· Participate in architecture discussions and influence key technical decisions.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education Qualifications​

· Strictly Bachelor's / Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

Core Expertise

· 5+ years of DevOps experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior or lead role.

· Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture (mandatory).

· Hands-on experience with:

o VPC

o Kubernetes (EKS)

o EC2, RDS, Elasticache

o S3, CloudFront, Route53

o API Gateway, Lambda, Kinesis Streams

o ClickHouse (or similar columnar DBs)

o Docker

o Helm Chart

· Strong CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions.

Infrastructure-as-Code

· Proficiency with Terraform.

Programming / Scripting

· Strong scripting experience in Python, Shell, and NodeJS.

· Development experience is a strong advantage.

Scalability & Performance

· Experience with scaling distributed systems for millions of users.

· Deep understanding of caching, load balancing, and high-throughput event pipelines.

On-Prem Setup Experience

· Proven experience building SaaS-to-on-prem replicas.

· Ability to automate containerized and non-containerized deployments.

Other Requirements

· Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

· Ownership mindset — capable of independently driving end-to-end solutions.

· Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

· Experience with Digital Adoption Platforms (DAPs) or browser-based products.

· Knowledge of Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog or similar monitoring tools.

· Exposure to SOC2, ISO compliance environments.
