Who are we looking for?

Clerq is seeking a highly motivated Outside Sales Representative based in the Miami / Fort Lauderdale area to join our team. In this role, you’ll focus on lead generation and expanding our client base among auto dealerships across the state. You’ll play a pivotal role in growing our presence and providing dealerships with a differentiated payment solution to help cut processing costs and close sales faster. This is a field-based position requiring frequent travel within the region.

About the role

In this role, you will:

  • Identify and generate leads through outbound sales and in-person dealership visits.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients in the auto industry.

  • Educate dealership owners and managers on Clerq’s payment solutions and how it reduces costs and streamlines the customer payment experience.

  • Conduct product demonstrations to highlight the benefits of our product.

  • Collaborate with the rest of the team to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.

  • Track and manage leads and sales activity in our CRM.

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by closing new business with franchise and independent dealerships.

Qualifications

  • Must be located in the Miami / Fort Lauderdale area and comfortable with travel within the region.

  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in B2B environments (experience in the automotive or payments industry is strongly preferred).

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to build rapport and develop relationships with potential clients.

  • Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools.

Base salary: $100-120k based on experience. Uncapped commission with expected OTE $150k+

Employee compensation also includes equity incentives and certain benefits. Final offer terms are based on by multiple factors including experience and skills, and may potentially vary from the amounts initially listed.
