About Us

Gimlet is building the next generation of AI infrastructure: large-scale AI datacenters and the orchestration platform that coordinates them.

The future of AI will require vastly more compute than exists today. But as AI workloads become more complex and new hardware architectures emerge, simply deploying more GPUs isn't enough. The challenge is making increasingly diverse compute work together.

Gimlet's platform intelligently partitions and routes workloads across heterogeneous hardware, enabling step-function improvements in performance and efficiency. Customers deploy through production-grade APIs without needing to think about hardware selection, placement, or optimization.

We work with foundation labs, hyperscalers, and AI-native companies to power production workloads at massive scale and help define the infrastructure layer for the future of AI.

About the role

Gimlet Labs is hiring a Senior Technical Recruiter to build the teams that will define our core infrastructure.

At Gimlet, we believe every hire changes the company.

As a Series A company, talent density matters more than headcount. Every person we hire influences our culture, our standards, and our future hiring bar.

We do not measure success by the number of roles filled. We measure success by the quality of the team we build.

This role is an opportunity to help assemble the strongest group of engineers who will define the future of AI infrastructure.

This is not a generalist role. You will focus on some of the hardest to hire profiles in the industry: kernel, compiler, and low-level systems engineer. You are expected to operate with deep domain understanding and high ownership.

You will partner directly with founders and engineering leadership to identify, engage, and recruit exceptional talent in niche and highly competitive markets. Success in this role requires strong technical intuition, disciplined execution, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining a consistently high hiring bar.

We review recruiting as a company-building function and expect recruiters to operate as a strategic partners, not process managers.

What you will work on

  • You will partner with founders and engineering leaders to define success, shape hiring strategy, identify exceptional talent, and help candidates develop conviction in Gimlet's mission.

  • You will develop a clear understanding of role requirements and translate them into targeted sourcing and evaluation strategies and then go and identify and engage top talent through direct sourcing, network development, and market mapping

  • You will build and maintain high-quality pipelines for niche technical areas with limited candidate supply. Run efficient, high-signal interview processes in partnership with engineering leadership

  • Advise hiring managers on talent market dynamics, candidate quality, and closing strategies

  • Drive urgency and accountability across the hiring process without compromising bar

  • Continuously improve recruiting processes to increase signal, speed, and consistency

You may be a good fit if

  • 5+ years of experience in technical recruiting, with a strong track record of hiring for highly specialized engineering roles

  • Direct experience hiring for kernel, compiler, or similarly low-level systems roles

  • Deep understanding of systems engineering fundamentals and the ability to assess technical profiles at a high level

  • Proven ability to identify, engage, and recruit exceptional passive candidates in competitive and niche talent markets

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience partnering with senior technical leaders

  • Excellent communication, organization, and execution skills

  • Ability to operate independently and drive results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Strong candidates may also have

  • The strongest candidates are deeply curious about technology, naturally relationship-oriented, and energized by building.

  • They care about talent density.

  • They believe exceptional teams create exceptional companies.

  • They are comfortable in operating in ambiguity and are motivated by the opportunity to help shape a company, not simply support one.

  • Experience hiring for AI infrastructure, distributed systems, or high-performance computing roles

  • Background working in high-growth startups or deeply technical organizations

  • Track record of building or scaling recruiting functions or processes

  • Strong network within systems, compiler, or adjacent low-level engineering communities
