About the Role
We are looking for a Manager, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting to oversee financial reporting & technical accounting. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Controller, the role will be a key position in the finance organization, interacting and coordinating with various departments across the company to ensure proper accounting treatment and accurate financial results. Successful candidates for this position will have 3-5 years of professional experience. This role will be as an Individual Contributor.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the US GAAP reporting and other external reporting requirements. Support statutory reporting as needed.
- Proactively identify, research, communicate, and resolve complex accounting matters.
- Lead policy initiatives, including the implementation of new accounting standards, and ensure global accounting policies are maintained and up to date.
- Continuously monitor, document, and communicate new accounting standards to the organization and determine their impact on the company.
- Lead or support cross-functional strategic initiatives ensuring accounting impacts are proactively addressed.
- Drive management of valuation exercises, including partnering with 3rd party valuation firms to ensure proper valuation and disclosures.
- Support complex areas including, but not limited to,stock-based compensation, warrants, defined benefit pension plan and foreign currency.
- Develop a culture of mentorship, continuous improvement, finance transformation, automation, training, and success in the finance organization.
- Lead the adoption of Agentic AI to automate Accounting’s workflows
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA; Public accounting experience, Big 4 preferred but not required.
- In depth experience in public accounting / private industry with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Strong leadership skills with a consistent record of leading meaningful initiatives across the organization.
- Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Comfortable addressing technical accounting issues and accounting for complex transactions.
Preferred (not required):
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
- A demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex operational and accounting challenges.
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, current knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills, analytical skills, and the ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Effective project management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end, manage long-term projects, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Pay Range: $125,000 – $140,000 annually In accordance with applicable law, this represents a reasonable estimated compensation range for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location and may be more or less than the amount shown above. Outside of base compensation, CloudBees also offer stock options and variable bonuses.
