We're hiring a Sales Director who combines private equity industry expertise with sales execution discipline. This isn't about prior software sales experience—it's about deep understanding of how investment firms operate, credibility with deal teams, and relentless follow-through. You'll report directly to the CEO, own a defined book of target accounts, and work alongside another sales leader in a performance-driven environment. This is a high-agency role for someone who understands that success comes from both excellent discovery calls and the unglamorous backend work that closes deals.

Description

Compensation: $270k-$300k OTE

What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle for mid-market and enterprise private equity accounts
  • Build and work your own target account lists proactively, identifying and pursuing high-fit prospects across our ICP segments
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations that connect Meridian's capabilities to real investment workflow challenges
  • Execute persistent, strategic follow-up to move deals forward—proposals, contract negotiations, multi-threaded communications, and relentless closure discipline
  • Leverage your PE background to build credibility quickly, speak the language of deal teams, and understand nuanced sourcing and diligence workflows
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategy as we scale our commercial motion and refine our approach to different market segments
  • Travel for in-person client meetings and key opportunities to build relationships and close strategic deals

Who You Are

  • 4-7 years of private equity experience in deal sourcing, origination, business development, investor relations, or similar client-facing investment roles
  • Direct experience using CRMs for relationship tracking and deal management—you understand what good software can do for investment workflows
  • Strong closer who combines relationship-building with persistence—you understand that deals are won in the follow-up
  • Excellent communicator who can run polished discovery calls, deliver confident demos, and present effectively to senior stakeholders
  • Self-directed and accountable—comfortable owning your pipeline, your activity metrics, and your outcomes without constant oversight
  • Startup mentality that makes you excited about building processes and wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced, high-growth, self–directed environment.

Bonus Experience

  • Experience working with CRM platforms like Salesforce, Affinity, or DealCloud in a power-user capacity
  • Existing network within the private equity, credit, or venture capital ecosystem
  • Experience working in high-growth or early-stage companies where you had to build processes from scratch
