We're looking for a sharp, self-directed Operations Senior Associate to support Meridian's internal operations as we scale. This role sits at the intersection of people operations and finance, and reports directly to our Head of Operations. You'll own key processes across recruiting, onboarding, and financial administration — and you'll be the kind of person who makes things run smoothly before anyone notices they could have gone wrong. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment and wants to build something meaningful from the inside.
About Meridian AI, Inc.
Description
What You'll Do
Recruiting & Hiring
- Own the full recruiting lifecycle — from drafting job descriptions and posting roles to screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and driving offer processes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, maintaining a high-quality candidate experience throughout.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop role requirements, interview formats, and evaluation criteria.
- Track and report on pipeline health, time-to-fill, and other recruiting metrics.
Onboarding & HR Operations
- Assist in onboarding all new hires, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience from offer acceptance through the first 90 days.
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and compliance requirements across jurisdictions.
- Support benefits administration, open enrollment coordination, and employee lifecycle processes (promotions, offboarding, role changes).
- Identify gaps in existing HR processes and build scalable solutions.
Finance Operations
- Manage vendor invoice processing and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Own expense tracking and reconciliation, working with external accountants as needed.
- Support budget tracking and monthly reporting, flagging variances and maintaining clean records.
- Assist in preparing financial summaries and operational reports for leadership.
Who You Are
- A strong recruiting mindset. You have the people skills to run full-cycle recruiting and know how to move quickly without sacrificing quality or candidate experience.
- Operationally rigorous. You build systems, not workarounds. You document what you do and leave things better than you found them.
- Comfortable with ambiguity. You don't need a playbook for every situation — you write the playbook.
- Discreet and trustworthy. You'll handle sensitive compensation, hiring, and financial information. Confidentiality is non-negotiable.
- Financially literate. You're comfortable with budgets, invoices, and expense reconciliation — you don't need to be an accountant, but numbers don't scare you.
- Clear communicator. You write and speak with precision, and you know how to adapt your tone for candidates, employees, and executives.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in operations, HR, recruiting, or a related role — ideally at a startup or high-growth tech company
- Demonstrated experience running full-cycle recruiting across multiple roles simultaneously
- Familiarity with HR and finance tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
Bonus Experience
- Experience in fintech, SaaS, or financial services
- Exposure to finance operations (invoice management, expense reconciliation, budget tracking)
- Experience recruiting in high-growth environments
Why Join Us
- High ownership from day one. You won't be executing someone else's checklist — you'll be building and running real processes that shape how the company operates.

- Room to grow. As Meridian scales, this role scales with it. The person who does this job well will have a clear path to take on more.
- A team that respects your time. We move fast, but we don't mistake busyness for impact. We value judgment, not just effort.
