  • Lead the development of data pipelines, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency to support the growing data needs of the company.

  • Develop dashboards, reporting, and other data products (such as simulation tools) that empower self-service, data-driven decision making
  • Consult with leaders across the business to develop analytics roadmaps with particular emphasis on insights that accelerate growth across all aspects of the business
  • Communicate complex data analysis and findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ensure high standards for data quality, governance, and privacy, maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Who you are:

  • BA/BS in Economics, Statistics, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or other quantitative field, Master’s or PhD in a related field is a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in a data analytics or data science role and managing a small team, preferably working in a consumer subscription based business model
  • Demonstrated ability to independently plan and execute repeatable analyses and recommend actionable strategy
  • Ability to translate business strategies into multiple, interrelated projects and lead cross-organizational, cross-functional projects
  • Excellent communicator who easily bridges the gap between data and business owners
  • Creative thinker, adept at understanding a wide breath of retail analytics use cases and identifying the data and analytics necessary to make them into a reality
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL; familiarity with big data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of Looker, including architecting and building efficient LookML, maintaining user-friendly self-service explorers, and creating executive level dashboards.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and best practices for data management
  • Prior experience in people and team management of 3-5 years
  • Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, swiftly-changing startup environment

  • Startup Experience: Successful track record of working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving startup environment.

This is a hybrid role that will require prospective candidates to be in our NYC headquarters 3 days per week.
