OTE intends to recruit and retain a dynamic Security Manager, reporting to the Head of Facility and Security Operations, to help supervise all security operational activity occurring within and surrounding all OTE facilities (venue, housing, offices, etc.) while maintaining OTE’s mission to build a league that empowers the world’s 24 most talented, elite basketball players to realize their full educational, economic, and athletic potential.

The Security Manager will help manage the day-to-day operations of all security operations, policies, and procedures at the arena as well as for Overtime Football and OT7 events off site.. The role will act as a support to the overall security operations of facilities with primary responsibilities of overall management of security for events, players and staff across Overtime’s different leagues.; Additionally, he/ she will assist the Head of Facility and Security Operations by providing operational input on major/minor events and projects.

What you’ll do
  • Responsible for helping to manage the day-to-day security operations of OTE Arena, including the venue, surrounding areas and offices.
  • Help with security of player housing, including working with 3rd party security contractor
  • Work as the main security personnel for our players both inside and outside of the arena for travel and outside events
  • Prepare for all on-site games/events including conducting pre-security briefings with security team, coordinate the scheduling of external event staffing personnel including, but not limited to, off-duty police officers, canine assets, and emergency services.
  • Administration of all physical security systems, including but not limited to access control, video surveillance cameras, alarms, and fire panels.
  • Liaison for Police, Fire, Event Medical Personnel for events both at arena and off site as needed
  • Continuously evaluate and adapt security protocols to identify possible vulnerabilities, emphasizing proactive measures versus post-incident reaction
  • Guide the improvement and implementation of Arena Security Standards, Travel Standards and Venue Security Operations
  • Collaborate with security department and management to oversee the leagues safety and security program and make recommendations and changes as needed
  • Properly document and maintain organizational security policies and procedures for all Overtime entities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to build security and access control plans and protocols, event credentialing, and setup for events both at Arena and off site.
  • Main Security point of contact for all Overtime Football and OT7 events across the country, this includes building out a plan for all events, connecting with local police, EMT, security teams to ensure safety and security for all events.
  • Works and communicates with other departments to make sure all security needs are met
  • Any and all other duties and tasks as assigned
Who you are
  • 4+ Years of experience in security with a combination of arena or corporate security management
  • Great attention to detail, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Experience creating and implementing security plans
  • Track record of great ability to build relationships with athletes is preferred
  • Experience in event management and building a security plan for off site events
  • Experience of developing travel and event security plans against risk management requirements, liability and compliance considerations, and business objectives
  • Experience working with multiple vendors
  • Ability to work on tasks and projects individually
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed and ability to respond to emergency situations in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player
