Chief Technology Officer - Seattle, WA (hybrid)

RentSpree is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our global engineering teams in Seattle and Bangkok. In this strategic role, you’ll partner closely with our COO (Head of Product) and Chief Experience Officer to drive the development and execution of forward-thinking solutions aligned with our product vision. This is a high-impact position requiring hands-on leadership. You will play a key role in shaping RentSpree’s technical direction and infrastructure to support innovation and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage approximately 65 engineering, data, security, and IT team members, distributed evenly across Seattle and Bangkok in a hybrid working environment.
  • Collaborate closely with the COO (Head of Product) and Chief Experience Officer to shape and deliver on the company’s product vision and strategic goals.
  • Actively participate in product planning, roadmap development, and execution, ensuring alignment between technical strategies and business objectives.
  • Foster high-performance team execution with a strong sense of urgency, determination, and a passion for achieving excellence.

Skills You Bring

  • Proven experience as CTO, VP of Engineering, or senior technical leadership role a part of an executive team driving strategy in a high-growth tech environment.
  • Deep expertise in software engineering, architecture, infrastructure management, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Mixed experience both leading smaller companies to scale, and understanding what works at mature companies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead globally distributed teams, ideally in a hybrid or remote-first culture.
  • Strong critical and strategic thinking skills, with experience aligning technology initiatives to business objectives and product roadmaps.
  • Effective collaborator, able to navigate conflict in a productive manner and the ability to partner across departments with executives and product leaders and staff to deliver cohesive results.
  • Hands-on leadership style, comfortable engaging directly with complex technical challenges to empower team effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication and change management skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, positive energy, with exceptional leaderships skills and the ability to flex to differing employee needs and perspectives.
