The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong frontend focus. You’ll be pivotal in elevating our frontend engineering practices while keeping a holistic view of our entire codebase. The ideal candidate is not only hands-on in building scalable, high-quality applications but also passionate about mentoring juniors and mid-level engineers, guiding projects from inception, and shaping technical direction.

What You’ll Do

• Lead frontend-heavy development across multiple products, while maintaining a full-stack perspective.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
• Define and implement best practices for frontend development, ensuring quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and provide a holistic view of the codebase across frontend and backend layers.
• Drive the creation of project templates and starter frameworks to accelerate new initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver end-to-end features.
• Take ownership of projects — from greenfield builds to rewrites/migrations.
• Ensure smooth integration between frontend and backend systems.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements to our stack and workflows.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of experience as a full-stack or frontend-focused engineer with strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
• Deep proficiency in modern frontend frameworks and libraries (React, Vue.js).
• Solid experience with backend technologies (Node.js, Express, NestJS, or similar).
• Strong understanding of APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud platforms.
• Proven ability to mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
• Experience building applications from scratch and setting up project scaffolding/templates.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Track record of delivering high-quality, maintainable software in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with GraphQL.
• Previous experience leading frontend initiatives in SaaS or product companies.
• Interest in performance optimization and system scalability.
• Previous experience with Shopify ecosystem.
