Pay
$115k - $120k annually, depending on experience
Job summary

The Senior Product Designer is responsible for working on complex design challenges and creating intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and experiences for Slope’s SaaS product. This position plays a critical role in shaping the user experience of our product by working closely with a product manager, software engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the product meets both user needs and business objectives. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with over 5 years of UI/UX design experience in the SaaS industry, adept at leading projects, and creating user-centric designs. They excel in strategic thinking, user research, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, driving high-quality outcomes and contributing to strategic planning.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and subject matter experts to prototype interfaces with workflows.
  • Establish design requirements using insights from internal teams and user research and identify opportunities for product improvements.
  • Craft microcopy and write clear, concise product descriptions and research summaries.
  • Conduct limited alpha and beta tests to validate the value and usability of products.
  • Analyze new products to ensure they meet market needs and customer preferences, and revise existing designs based on customer feedback.
  • Refine the design details of validated products, including visual design and animations.
  • Work closely with software engineers to suggest product and process improvements.
  • Present product design concepts to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience & requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, product development, human-computer interaction, or a related field or equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in UI/UX design, with at least 3 years in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Experience conducting moderated usability testing.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing complex SaaS products.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and synthesize user research.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Dedication to meticulous quality assurance, accurate spelling, cohesive page-to-page design, and precise alignment, among other aspects.
  • Demonstrated capacity to create functional interfaces optimized for a range of device screen sizes and resolutions.
  • Mastery of Figma.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methods and product strategy systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Product Design, UX Design, or related field.
  • Experience with products in the eClinical technology space.
  • Familiarity with basic front-end web development language (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and front-end design systems (Bootstrap, Material Design, Tailwind).

Candidates will be asked to present a portfolio that includes user journey maps and designs.
