Description
About Solidus
Solidus Labs is building the compliance operating system for the next generation of global capital markets.
Born in crypto by a team with decades of experience building Wall Street-grade trading technology, our tools help financial institutions, regulators, and crypto-native companies detect market manipulation, investigate suspicious activity, and navigate increasingly internet-native markets. The problems we work on are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving — every alert, investigation, workflow, and escalation can carry real financial, regulatory, and reputational consequences.
Headquartered in NYC with growing teams across Tel Aviv, Singapore, London, and Europe, we operate in the weird and fascinating space where finance, regulation, technology, internet culture, and global politics all crash into each other daily. We move fast, care deeply about the quality of our work, and yes, many of us are Twitter addicts.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Head of People & Culture to help scale the company through its next phase of growth. This is not a “keep the lights on” HR role. It’s an operator role for someone who likes building systems, solving messy problems, and helping ambitious teams perform at a higher level.
You’ll lead the People function end-to-end, managing a strong, lean (3FTE today) team across NYC and Tel Aviv, partnering closely with leadership on hiring, organizational design, performance, compensation, and scaling a global company in a fast-moving and highly regulated industry. You will help codify the company culture and traditions, and shape the People function as a business driver.
Requirements
You will do well in this role if you:
- have high agency and strong judgment
- bring structure and follow-through to ambiguous environments
- catch details and inconsistencies others miss
- can move comfortably between strategy and execution
- think commercially and connect People decisions to business outcomes
- know how to build trust with strong personalities and high-performing teams
- coach, manage and inspire team members inside and outside your org
You do not need to have held the full Head of People title before.
You do need to be sharp, curious, resilient, and capable of growing into a significant leadership role quickly. This role is especially well-suited for someone who has spent time inside a scaling startup, wants broader ownership, and is excited by the idea of building a People function alongside the company itself.
