About Condor

Every year, hundreds of billions of dollars are invested to discover and develop new therapies, yet the financial infrastructure behind that work has not kept pace. Clinical operations and finance live in disconnected worlds, forcing teams to make high-stakes decisions using fragmented tools and static data.

Condor exists to change that. We are a system of action, building the financial intelligence layer that will power the next era of clinical development. Condor connects clinical operations, vendor activity, and financial signals into a single, real-time intelligence layer, giving R&D and finance leaders true command over how their organizations operate.

Condor is pharma-native, AI-driven infrastructure built to scale industry standards we helped define with Big 4 partners. It powers prediction, control, and execution across the most complex R&D environments in the world.

Why This Matters Now

Condor has moved past proving the concept. Enterprise teams already trust Condor to run critical operations and finance. The work ahead is the hardest part: scaling something people depend on when the stakes are this high.

Condor is a high-growth company backed by top institutional partners like Felicis and 645 Ventures, growing rapidly with Top 200 biopharma companies. This is a rare opportunity to help build foundational infrastructure that will shape how new therapies reach patients.

The Role

Condor Software is seeking a seasoned FP&A professional to join our team as a Clinical Finance Engagement Manager. This role leads customer implementations end-to-end while serving as an FP&A subject-matter expert for biopharma R&D, combining hands-on delivery with deep planning and forecasting expertise across client and internal engagements.

In this role, you own implementations end-to-end for assigned clients, from discovery through go-live and early adoption. In parallel, you serve as an internal FP&A expert at Condor, acting as a thought partner and escalation point for complex forecasting, planning, and modeling topics across other client engagements and internal teams. You will work directly with FP&A leaders, R&D finance teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure Condor is configured to support decision-ready planning and forecasting use cases.

This role sits at the intersection of FP&A, clinical operations, and software delivery. Success requires someone who has worked directly in an FP&A function, built and owned clinical trial forecasts, understands how portfolio-level planning decisions are made, and can translate that experience into scalable, best-practice system implementations.

You are not just implementing software. You are helping customers move from spreadsheet-driven planning to system-based, decision-ready FP&A workflows that improve how clinical trial spend is planned, forecasted, and controlled.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of client implementations, serving as the primary owner from discovery through go-live and early adoption.

  • Lead structured discovery focused on FP&A requirements, including trial-level and portfolio-level planning assumptions, cost drivers, and governance models.

  • Configure Condor to support budgeting, AI-guided forecasting, dynamic scenario modeling, and portfolio-level planning use cases.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to client FP&A, finance, and clinical operations stakeholders, guiding planning and forecasting decisions throughout the implementation lifecycle.

  • Serve as an FP&A subject-matter expert across Condor engagement teams, providing guidance and escalation support for complex forecasting, portfolio analysis, and modeling challenges.

  • Validate configurations through walkthroughs, testing, and targeted client training, ensuring outputs are accurate, usable, and decision-ready.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and other Condor teams to improve FP&A-related capabilities, templates, and best practices based on real-world client use cases.

  • Provide continuity immediately post go-live, supporting early adoption, stabilization, and handoff into steady-state usage.

Required Skills & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • 8 or more years of progressive FP&A and R&D finance experience within biopharma or in advisory roles supporting biopharma organizations.

  • Direct, hands-on experience building and owning clinical trial forecasts, portfolio plans, and scenario models.

  • Deep understanding of clinical trial cost structures, enrollment-driven forecasting, and portfolio prioritization.

  • Proven experience in a client-facing role such as software implementation, professional services, consulting, or customer success.

  • Ability to engage senior FP&A and finance leaders with credibility and confidence.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex models and assumptions clearly.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex financial modeling and scenario analysis.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort navigating ambiguity and incomplete information.

  • Ability to manage multiple engagements while maintaining high standards of quality and responsiveness.

  • Experience establishing FP&A standards, processes, or best practices across teams or portfolios.

Preferred

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

  • Experience implementing or owning FP&A, planning, or analytics platforms in an R&D or clinical context.

  • Experience using AI-powered tools to improve forecasting efficiency, modeling quality, or insight generation.

  • Prior experience in a fast-growing or startup environment.

Personal Attributes

  • Client-first mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • High standards for analytical rigor, accuracy, and professionalism.

  • Comfortable operating as both an individual contributor and an internal expert within a growing team.
